Setting sail on Lac Léman

In preparation for a skiing and sailing tour at the end of the winter term, Roseans have started to hone their sailing, water rescue and first aid skills on Lac Léman under the guidance of a Rosey teacher. The ski tour slopes on the Lofoten islands in Norwaylook out directly on to the sea and are only accessible by boat; the student crew, along with accompanying staff, will sail for five days from one mountain to the next. The first sailing session of term took place in strong winds against a beautiful sunset, offering a glimpse into the conditions that await them sailing amongst the archipelago. As there are no ski lifts in the wild Lofoten mountains, Roseans will be training their ski-touring skills this winter ahead of the trip.
