What do an Oscar-winning film-maker, a Nigerian Booker Prize-winning author, women’s rights in Saudi Arabia, North Korean photo-journalism and the psychology of a Norwegian mass-murderer all have in common? Find out at Institut Le Rosey’s fourth TEDx event, organised by Rosey students following the popular TEDx formula.

 

An exciting speaker line-up will include photographer Nick Danziger, Saudi businesswoman and politician Lama Al Sulaiman, famous novelist and poet Ben Okri, writer and crime psychologist, Unni Turrettini and Oscar-winning film-maker and photographer, Louie Psihoyos.

 

The “E” in TED stands for “entertainment” and the day will certainly be enjoyable and stimulating, but this is also an educational event.  In accordance with TEDx rules and guidelines, students have contacted the speakers, organised the day, found sponsors, created the advertising and worked on the budget, which they are confident will balance!  Tickets (at 30CHF) can be purchased through the Rosey Concert Hall website https://www.roseyconcerthall.ch/en/event/tedx-hors-abonnement/

Qu’ont en commun un cinéaste primé aux Oscars, un auteur nigérian qui a remporté le Booker Prize, les droits des femmes en Arabie Saoudite, le photojournalisme en Corée du Nord et la psychologie d’un tueur en série norvégien ? Découvrez-le lors du 4ème TEDx du Rosey , organisé par des Roséens selon la formule très prisée des événements TEDx.

 

Nous vous présenterons une série d’orateurs particulièrement remarquable : le photographe Nick Danziger, la femme d’affaires et femme politique saoudienne Lama Al Sulaiman, le romancier et poète Ben Okri, l’écrivain et psychologue du crime Unni Turrettini et le cinéaste et photographe Louis Psihovos.

 

Le E de TED signifie entertainment et nous sommes certains que cette journée sera à la fois plaisante et stimulante, toutefois il s’agit avant tout d’un événement éducatif. Conformément au règlement des TEDx, ce sont nos élèves qui sont entrés en relation avec les intervenants, ont organisé le déroulement de la journée, trouvé les sponsors, conçu la publicité, élaboré et équilibré le budget – et ils espèrent maintenant qu’il sera tenu !
