Super Trophée 23/53: Running Challenge

In the winter of 1923/24, seven players in Le Rosey colours became Swiss ice hockey champions. Thirty years later, a Rosey crew of four rowers and a cox claimed the national rowing title on Lake Rotsee. A century on, those two teams are still honoured every autumn, when a new group of Roséens sets out to earn the Super Trophée 23/53.

For their first challenge, 22 Roséens left the lakeside in Rolle for a 16 km run to Arzier, climbing roughly 600 m into the foothills of the Jura. They ran together through the villages for the first 10 km, then pushed through the final stretch alone. 18 reached Arzier in under 2 hours, with the fastest runner finishing in 1 hour and 32 minutes.

Congratulations to all our runners for their determination and dedication. Next stop, the 4,164 m Breithorn ascent!
