φlo*

The latest addition to Le Rosey’s architectural landscape is entirely dedicated to a futuristic vision of education. It aims to meet the growing demands of both individual and collaborative work, of academic learning and entrepreneurial development, and to address the disruptions brought by artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. It is a forward-looking educational tool that embodies Le Rosey’s ambition to pioneer new pathways in learning.

Adaptability

Spanning 16,000 square meters, the building offers teaching spaces with modular walls, allowing for over 1,000 different configurations of its 90 classrooms.

Start-ups in residence

Through the Rosey Impact Accelerator and the MITdesignX Le Rosey programme, Roséens will tackle real-world, unsolved challenges. They will collaborate directly with start-ups in residence, testing their ideas and learning from the inevitable missteps that are part of the innovation process.

Tech Lab

A 400 m² space equipped with advanced tools and technologies, designed to foster exploration, critical thinking, and hands-on implementation of entrepreneurial projects.

Pitch Room

A versatile 430 m² space devoted to debate, theatre, presentations, lectures, pitches, poetry, and public speaking — a celebration of oratory in a stunning venue where students benefit from the expertise of guest speakers and performers.

Science Labs

Two 300 m² mega-labs fitted for cutting-edge research, supported by scientists in residence.

Collision Spaces

Scattered throughout the building, these informal zones promote spontaneous, screen-free interactions between Roséens, teachers, entrepreneurs, and guests — embodying Le Rosey’s ideal of “knowing better, understanding better, loving better” as a foundation for mutual respect and personal growth.

Exhibition Spaces

A dynamic rotation of thought-provoking exhibitions continues Le Rosey’s tradition of creating museum-quality displays that explore cross-disciplinary themes linked to the curriculum.

Slides and Zip Lines

Double-helix slides spiralling through the φlo, zip lines soaring across campus from the rooftop, because a school must also know how to smile.

This visionary structure was masterfully designed by Bernard Tschumi, the entrepreneurial, scientific, and academic counterpart to the Paul & Henri Carnal Hall — the artistic dome of creativity also conceived by Tschumi.

* The name was chosen in homage to philosophy, the source of all learning; to the Greek letter , symbol of the golden ratio essential to mathematics and science; and as a nod to the fourth and third generations of Le Rosey’s leadership: Philippe Gudin and Louis Johannot.

More than 1,200 members of the Rosey community, Roséens, Anciens, parents, teachers, and guests, gathered to inaugurate φlo during the 145th end-of-year celebration.

Rosey Impact Accelerator

Over 900m2 of space in Rolle dedicated to impact-focused entrepreneurship.

From their earliest years, Roséens are encouraged to embrace challenges and think creatively. The Rosey Impact Accelerator extends this ethos, supporting Roséens as they develop entrepreneurial skills and bring ideas to life with the support of expert mentors.
