Comme le veut la tradition roséenne, le premier week-end de l’année scolaire est consacré à l’intégration des nouveaux élèves tout en découvrant la Suisse du sommet du Moléson aux plaines du Valais où les Roséens doivent attraper des moutons. Rires et dépassement de soi permettent très vite de prendre conscience de la force de notre communauté.
The Week-end de connaissance is a term that doesn’t translate easily but it essentially means “The Getting to Know Each Other Weekend” and this is when all Roséens, both the newly arrived and those returning after the summer break, spend the weekend together on and off campus. The highlights are the Saturday outings which are organised in different age groups, allowing students to savour some of the beauties and experiences Switzerland has to offer – such as the 2000-metre high Moléson where Class 3 students could contemplate astounding views after a suitably energetic walk, or (yes) herding sheep, the very popular class t game. And behind it all is the knowledge that through the fun and challenge of these activities newcomers learn the strength of our community.
