27 Oct ZouZou Challenge: Rowing
One of the unique aspects of life at Rosey is its inimitable family-like community. It is in this spirit that a series of sporting challenges have been created – the ZouZou challenges – to allow students to compete against staff in friendly competitions across various disciplines. The first of these saw our boys’ and girls’ rowing teams head out on the water for a 2km race at sunrise to witness the results of their dedication to weekly training sessions this term. Teachers’ boats – one male and one female – had one prior training session to test their rowing abilities before joining their opponents at dawn. It was a hugely successful morning during the school’s Special Week and despite valiant efforts from the staff teams, Roseans showed their sporting prowess, technique and teamwork resulting in two much-deserved victories.
