A History lesson on the moon: virtual reality enters the classroom

As part of the annual World XR Forum in Crans, forty students from Rosey and Le Regent College came together for a History lesson – but not of the usual kind taught within the classroom walls. Transported to the moon by virtual reality headsets, Mr Foreman, Le Rosey’s IB Coordinator and one of the school’s Politics teachers, was able to explain the Cold War and the symbolic pertinence of the Moon landing to students whilst they “walked” on its surface. This technological world premiere marks the start of several new teaching and learning methods that Le Rosey will be sharing over the next few years with Le Regent College, which today joins the family of Rosey associate schools.
