Le Rosey celebrates its 139th Fête de Noël

Preceded by the parent-teacher meetings in the morning (with nearly 2,000 individual meetings), the Fête de Noël followed its established pattern: the classical concert, dinner, the French play and then the rock cabaret concert. Standards were as high as ever, and perhaps the highlight of the first part of the concert were solos by four outstanding class t musicians Joshua, Bella, Tyler and Lucy, accompanied by our resident orchestra, IMMA. The second part of the concert featured extracts from The Armed Man by Carl Jenkins performed by the Rosey choir and orchestra commemorating the end of WW1 100 years after the armistice.  After dinner, the French-speaking theatre troupe treated a packed audience to a remarkably vibrant and inventive performance of Molière’s Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme. Finally, the School of Rock bands kept both students and parents entertained until the end of a memorable evening that showcased the full range of students’ artistic talents, all with Le Rosey’s classic combination of quality, elegance and human warmth.
