15 Jun The Vanil Noir Nature Reserve
As part of the Caritas programme which supports mountain farmers, five pupils recently spent time helping a local Vaudois farmer. They carried 160 posts for perimeter fencing and then set up a 300-metre enclosure to protect cattle.
Quite apart from the satisfaction that comes from providing genuine help to their host over the weekend, the boys learned something about the daily hardships of mountain farmers. This is an experience that will be repeated with other students next autumn.
