The
Junior campus is a “mini Rosey”
made up of around fifty boys and girls aged
between 8 and 12 years old who live and study
in a brand new house on the main Rosey campus.
It is open to
students from class 9 to class 6 (grade
3 to 6 primary). From January to
March,
the Junior section also moves to our winter
campus in Gstaad.
The Juniors live and study on their own campus. Boys and girls are housed on two separate floors in light, colourfully decorated rooms with ensuite bathrooms. They work in large and well equipped rooms : seven classrooms, a science lab, a computer room, a library, an art room and four music rooms. They are offered several friendly places to relax and play : a cafeteria, a games room, two common rooms and an outdoor playground. In the boarding
house, the students have a healthy routine:
a regular daily schedule, balanced meals
and a good night’s sleep.
Ten teachers – including four families
live in the boarding house with the Juniors
“in loco parentis”. These
teachers care for the Juniors throughout
the day ensuring their safety, and well-being whilst helping them with their daily needs
of any kind. Showing patience and a firm
manner, teachers guide the Juniors into
behaving appropriately: being tidy, being
polite, paying attention to their daily
hygiene, being on time, and so on. There is always
an adult on hand to listen, chat or play,
as well as to help with any problems students
may have.
Parental contact
is also important: telephone calls
with the children may be made as often as
needed during allocated times. Meetings
with the directors or with teachers are
encouraged and can be easily arranged as
and when appropriate.
