| Switzerland
is one of the safest countries in the world
and its health system offers excellent doctors
and medical facilities.
Le Rosey’s campuses are situated
in extremely calm areas: the first on a
manorial estate on the outskirts of the
small town of Rolle on the shores of Lake
Geneva, and the second in centre of the
extremely safe and privileged alpine village
of Gstaad. For further peace of mind, they
are protected by surveillance systems, and
a guard patrols the campuses every night.
Students’
health is the responsibility of a team of
four nurses who live on campus and by a
group of doctors who live only minutes away
from the campus. Minor health problems
are dealt with in the school’s two
infirmaries; Rolle and Saanen hospitals
are only minutes away for emergencies and
x-rays; in more serious cases the university
hospitals at Lausanne and Geneva are only
30 kilometres away from Rolle.
Naturally, there are other contributory
factors to Roseans' health: carefully planned
and prepared nutritious meals, a daily dose
of sport, the presence of teachers in all
the boarding houses, a winter in the mountains
and the balance of life away from the big
city.
