ESSENTIAL CHARACTER

In 2005 Le Rosey celebrated 125 years of international education. A Swiss school with a strong tradition of academic excellence and a demanding humanist spirit, Le Rosey is devoted to developing all the “multiple intelligences” and talents of its students within the framework of two beautiful campuses: Rolle in autumn and spring, and Gstaad in the winter.

The Rosey open-door tradition is a key to its spirit: a genuine community of directors, teachers and students.

An International Community
Boarding life is a linguistic and cultural meeting point: “foreigners” become friends, and using foreign languages becomes second nature. This international community is the basis of Roseans’ ability to be at home anywhere.
Discipline
Le Rosey’s ethical codes and disciplinary rules are simple and clear, and they are applied without unnecessary rigour or restraint.

Professionalism
A staff of 160, of whom 90 are teachers, guarantees an education faithful to school traditions, but, at the same time, both lively and innovative.
Religion
Christians are in the majority at Le Rosey but the followers of all religions are encouraged to deepen their faith in an atmosphere of mutual tolerance and respect. A mass is celebrated every Sunday in the school chapel.

The Alumni Association (AIAR : L'Association Internationale des Anciens Roséens)
The international friendships and links formed at Le Rosey constitute an exceptional investment for the future: throughout the world, there are anciens Roséens ready to provide a friendly welcome and professional help to other alumni. Their strong sense of loyalty to their school means that they regularly offer work experience or “first jobs” to young Rosey university and college graduates, as well as summer jobs to current students.
